Scouting for All: Barriers to Inclusion Training

Special Needs Scouting

How can you make sure your Scouting program is inclusive for all, including those Scouts with special needs?  Scouting is for all, and with our resources for working with Scouts with special needs, your unit can be a welcoming space.  Barriers to Inclusion is scheduled for:

Saturday, 4/20/24 from 10:00am to 1:00pm,
at the Alameda Council Office located at 1714 Everest St., Alameda.

I have confirmed that a scout with mobility limitations will be in attendance. She will share her insights and experiences of being a scout and participating in troop activities including camping. You will be able to ask questions after her talk.

Again, this training session is available to all Cub Leaders, Scouts BSA leaders, and Troop Committee members and will require at least 7 participants.  Come and be an advocate for Scouts with Special Needs.

If you are interested in attending this training or have questions, please contact me at (510) 428-2289.   We need to make sure we have 7 participants.
